LifeWave X39 vs. BEMER: Which One Should You Try First?

LifeWave X39 vs. BEMER

If you’re researching natural wellness technologies, you may have come across both LifeWave X39 patches and BEMER—and wondered: LifeWave X39 vs. BEMER, which is better?

As a Registered Nurse with a lifelong interest in holistic wellness—and someone who has personally explored and used both technologies—I think that’s actually the wrong question.

This isn’t really an apples-to-apples comparison.

LifeWave X39 and BEMER work in completely different ways. X39 is a wearable phototherapy patch designed to use light to support the body’s natural processes, while BEMER uses a patented therapeutic signal to support healthy microcirculation.

Rather than asking which is “better,” I believe the more useful question is:

Which one makes the most sense for you to try first?

Let’s look at the differences.

What Is LifeWave X39?

LifeWave X39 is a small, non-transdermal phototherapy patch. Nothing from the patch is delivered through the skin and no drugs or stimulants are involved.

Instead, LifeWave says X39 captures infrared energy naturally emitted by the body and reflects specific wavelengths of light back toward the skin.

LifeWave’s research has also examined X39’s effect on GHK-Cu, a naturally occurring copper peptide associated with a variety of biological processes. A randomized study involving 60 adults reported a statistically significant increase in blood GHK-Cu concentrations after wearing X39 for one week compared with the control group.

LifeWave has long described the technology in connection with supporting or activating the body’s own stem-cell activity. That’s one of the reasons X39 initially fascinated me.

Rather than putting stem cells—or anything else—into the body, the concept behind the technology is to use light to influence the body’s own biological processes.

For someone like me, with both a nursing background and an interest in natural wellness, that’s an intriguing concept.

What Is BEMER?

BEMER takes an entirely different approach.

BEMER stands for Bio-Electro-Magnetic-Energy-Regulation and uses a patented signal delivered through an application mat and other accessories.

The primary focus of BEMER is microcirculation.

Why does that matter?

Your smallest blood vessels are responsible for delivering oxygen and nutrients throughout your tissues and carrying metabolic waste products away. Healthy circulation at this microscopic level is an important part of normal physiological function.

A typical BEMER session is simple and non-invasive. You lie on the BEMER mat while the system delivers its proprietary signal. The standard application can easily become part of a morning and evening wellness routine.

For me, that’s the key distinction:

BEMER focuses on microcirculation. X39 uses phototherapy and is positioned around supporting the body’s own biological activity, including stem-cell activity.

They aren’t doing the same job.

LifeWave X39 vs. BEMER: The Biggest Differences

Here’s how I explain the two technologies:

X39 = Light + your body’s own biological processes

BEMER = Signal therapy + microcirculation

X39 is worn on the body, typically during the day, and then discarded.

BEMER is a device you purchase and use repeatedly. You generally use the full-body mat for short sessions as part of your daily routine.

Neither requires medication. Neither involves injections. Both are non-invasive approaches to wellness.

But the technology, application and investment are quite different.

What Does It Cost to Get Started?

This is probably one of the biggest practical differences.

You can get started with a LifeWave patch program for around $300, depending upon the products and package you choose. X39 itself can also be purchased individually, so someone doesn’t necessarily have to make a major financial commitment to experience the technology.

BEMER represents a considerably larger investment.

A BEMER system generally starts at approximately $4,300 and goes up, depending on the system and accessories selected.

But there’s an important difference: you’re purchasing equipment designed to be used again and again, for years, rather than purchasing a consumable product.

So I wouldn’t compare the two simply by looking at the initial price.

One is an ongoing wearable product.

The other is an investment in a wellness device.

Which One Should You Try First?

If someone asked me this question without giving me any other information, I would probably suggest starting with X39.

Why?

The cost is much lower, it’s extremely simple to use, and you can incorporate it into your normal day without changing your routine.

Put the patch on in the morning, go about your day, and remove it later.

It’s an easy way to begin exploring this type of wellness technology without making a several-thousand-dollar investment.

But if your primary interest is specifically supporting healthy microcirculation, then BEMER deserves a serious look.

And this is where I don’t believe the decision necessarily has to be X39 OR BEMER.

For some people, it may eventually be X39 AND BEMER. I have many clients using both.

My Perspective as a Registered Nurse

After decades in healthcare, I’ve learned not to expect one tool to do everything.

Nutrition doesn’t replace exercise. Exercise doesn’t replace sleep. And one wellness technology doesn’t automatically replace another.

That’s why I don’t view BEMER and X39 as competitors.

They approach wellness from two very different directions.

What attracts me to both is that they’re non-invasive and designed to work with the body rather than simply adding another substance to it.

If you’re trying to decide between them, start by asking yourself what you’re hoping to accomplish, how much you want to invest initially, and which technology you’re most likely to use consistently.

If you want the easiest and least expensive place to start, I’d start with X39.

If you’re specifically interested in microcirculation and you’re comfortable making a larger investment in a reusable wellness device, I would explore BEMER.

And if you’re like I am, you may eventually realize there doesn’t have to be a winner.

Sometimes two very different technologies can earn a place in the same wellness toolbox!

I will not go without either!
